The William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, interpreting and teaching about Jewish history, in particular the Holocaust and the experience of Jews in Georgia. Through its exhibitions, programs and archives, the Museum celebrates Jewish culture and explores the universal themes of human dignity and respect for others.

The Breman Museum will open the Southern Jewish Historical Society Conference to Jewish history buffs, genealogists and scholars. Come at 7 p.m. for tours of "Seeking Justice: The Leo Frank Case Revisited" and "Creating Community: The Jews of Atlanta, 1845 - the Present." Stay for a program at 8 p.m. with keynote speaker Jenna Weissman Joselit, professor at Princeton University, "When Moses Came Down from the Mountain and Headed South: The Americanization of the Ten Commandments." A desert reception will follow.
