Not Letting it In: A Participatory Confessional Workshop
This workshop immerses participants in the methodology of the internationally acclaimed performance Not Letting It In. Through personal confessions and unscripted moments, participants connect through vulnerability in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. Open to arts students, performers, and general audiences, this workshop encourages deep exploration of confessional storytelling.

About the Show:
Not Letting It In is a contemporary performance piece that creates a confessional space where performers and audience members share personal truths in real time. Structured around a central table, the show follows strict rules—only confessions are spoken, with no judgments or commentary—allowing for an atmosphere of vulnerability, connection, and catharsis.

Versions of the show range from two-hour performances to marathon 24-hour events, adapting to diverse venues such as galleries, theaters, synagogues, and nightclubs. Created by Jason Danino Holt, it has been performed in Tel Aviv and internationally in cities like New York, Athens, and Berlin, expanding into different communities, topics, and contexts. A notable variation, Only You, allows the audience to lead the confessional space.

While not therapy, Not Letting It In creates a rare and intimate space for honesty, where participants often find moments of unexpected depth and connection.
