Genealogical Research

Find Your Roots At The Breman!

The Breman Museum is the proud home of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Georgia (JGSG). The JGSG strives to foster an interest in Jewish heritage, encourage genealogical research, and promote awareness among the Jewish community of the ease and possibility of tracing their own ancestry. They also provide instruction on genealogical methodology and standards of accuracy, promote the preservation of Jewish genealogical records and resources, and maintain and grow a library of genealogical resources.

Breman Museum members at every level are full members of JGSG and enjoy all of the benefits listed below:

  • Quarterly meetings giving members an opportunity to share information and learn from others about their genealogical research. Admission is free to all members except for special events.
  • Exchange of information with others interested in Jewish genealogical research.
  • Advice and consultations by local experts who can help you in your Jewish genealogy research.
  • Access to the JGSG library of Jewish family history research materials, which is part of the Ida Pearle and Joseph Cuba Archives and Genealogy Center.
  • Notice of all National and International Conferences on Jewish genealogy, and other events.
